If all the dead links in my resource pages have frustrated you, take heart! I have gone through today and cleaned them up. Everything that's left is good.
Look for my new story Bad Water online now; it originally appeared in the August/September anniversary edition of AlienSkin Magazine!
Carpal tunnel has slowed me down, but yes, I'm still here, and hoping to be blogging more regularly soon.
My essay Why Write? now appearing in the September/October issue of Vision: A Resource for Writers.
Look for my article "Targeting Enemy Words" in the September/October issue of Writers' Journal. My short story "The Enemy in the Mirror" is appearing in issues 160 and 161 of "Bewildering Stories."

I have a big backlog of emails to work through, including some Round Robin entries. If you've sent me something and haven't heard back, don't give up! 2005 has been rocky and my site work has gotten behind. I hope to catch up on correspondence soon.
This time we have a whole new Writer's Resources page--this one with research sources. Added to the Writer's Block page is an in-depth section on what to do when it's more than just "writer's block". We also have a brand new segment three posted for "Emergency!"
Lots of readers have sent in new terms for the Writing Terms page, and we've had several suggestions for names in the Fantasy Character Names as well. In addition, we've got new Round Robin segments posted for "The Mind Warrior", "Emergency!" and "The West Chapel Letters".
Segment five of "The Mind Warrior" has just been posted--stay tuned for more! The next segment of "The Awakening" has been posted as well, both of these stories are getting interesting!
Lots of new stuff in the Round Robin rooms this time! T Cat has sent not one, but two wonderful additions to "The Awakening", and segment four of "The Mind Warrior" is up in the Round Robin room--another riveting contribution from Travis Pullen. You won't want to miss these!
Several people have emailed in the last month asking about the lengths of novels, short stories, and other fiction forms. In answer, a new page has been added to the Fiction Tips room, all about fiction lengths. Find it here.
